Tour itinerary

🚲 Start: La Digue jetty & village area

Your tour begins near the jetty, where most visitors arrive. After a short safety briefing and bike adjustment, we cycle through the lively village area, giving you an introduction to daily island life, shops, schools, and traditional Creole homes.

🌴 Stop 1: L’Union Estate (entrance included)

We enter L’Union Estate, one of La Digue’s most important cultural sites. Here you’ll explore:
• The historic plantation house
• Traditional coconut oil mill
• Giant tortoise enclosure
• Vanilla, cinnamon, and coconut plantations
Your guide will explain the estate’s role in La Digue’s history and economy.

🏝️ Stop 2: Anse Source D’Argent

From L’Union Estate, we continue directly to Anse Source d’Argent, often ranked among the most beautiful beaches in the world. You’ll have time to:
• Swim in crystal-clear shallow waters
• Walk among iconic granite boulders
• Take photos at quieter sections of the beach
We time this stop to avoid peak crowds as much as possible.

🌿 Stop 3: West coast cycle – Plantation trails

Leaving Anse Source D’Argent, we cycle north along La Digue’s peaceful west coast. This stretch features flat terrain, shaded paths, and scenic ocean views, passing through coconut groves and traditional farmland.

🏖️ Stop 4: Anse Sévère

A relaxed stop at Anse Sévère, a beautiful beach popular with locals. Perfect for:
• Swimming
• Light refreshments
• Enjoying calm waters and reef views

🌊 Stop 5: Anse Patates (optional walk & swim)

We continue toward the northern tip of the island to Anse Patates, a small but stunning beach with dramatic rock formations and excellent snorkeling conditions. Access includes a short walk — your guide will assist and ensure safety.

🍽️ Lunch break (Flexible location)

Midway through the tour, we stop for a lunch break at a local takeaway or beachside spot (meal not included). Your guide will recommend trusted local options based on your preferences.

🌴 Stop 6: East Coast Ride – Grand Anse Viewpoints

After lunch, we cycle along the scenic east coast road toward Grand Anse. While swimming here is often unsafe due to strong currents, this area offers:
• Dramatic ocean views
• Photo stops
• Insight into La Digue’s wild coastline

🌺 Stop 7: Local Villages & Hidden Paths

On the return route, we explore quieter inland paths and village roads, offering a deeper look at island life away from tourist areas.

🚲 End: Return to Village / Jetty Area

We finish the tour back near the village or your accommodation (where accessible), leaving you with a complete understanding of La Digue — geographically, culturally, and visually.
